The Blood of Emmett Till, Timothy B. Tyson

Journeying Towards Justice welcomes Dr. Timothy Tyson who will speak at Epworth UMC at 3:00 PM on Sunday, December 2nd, about his recent book, The Blood of Emmett Till.  Dr. Tyson, a writer and historian who specializes in the issues of culture, religion and race associated with the Civil Rights Movement, is senior research scholar at the Center for Documentary Studies at Duke University and adjunct professor of American Studies at the University of North Carolina.  A reception will follow at 4:30 PM. Childcare is available.

Books may be available for sale at several events.  You are welcome to attend and enjoy the events, whether or not you have read the books!
